"No One Asked to Dance" was composed in two cities central to the artist's development: Berlin, a city that influenced him for its stimulating clubbing scene, and Milan, the city where GMG resides. In addition, Milan is home to DOTR, a collective to which he contributes his ideas.

His approach to sound is spontaneous, organic and makes use of sampling and the use of different musical instruments.
